Solution Focused Hypnotherapy

Solution Focussed Hypnotherapy (SFH) is a type of ‘talking therapy’ that combines psychotherapy with hypnosis. Hypnosis, or trance, is a natural, relaxing state, encouraged by using guided relaxation, where the mind can relax and focus on thoughts and suggestions that might be useful. SFH is a modern therapeutic approach that uses practical, structured, well-researched strategies to help people make significant, positive change in their lives in a relatively short period of time. Importantly, I look at what my client wants to achieve (the solution) rather than the problem.

A typical SFH session combines powerful solution-focussed discussions, followed by a relaxing trance state where the ideas and solutions discussed are explored and utilised by the brain for positive benefit.

I work with clients in a collaborative way, focussing on the present and the future, not the past. We explore their preferred future through a series of solution-oriented questions, uncovering goals to work towards.
